    to pop or probe?

    What's your guys opinions on either to pop or probe? I'm expecting six baby's for the first time. Can't wait. They won't pip till September but trying to get everything in order now

    I'll pop babies, probing is done on older animals and by a friend with tons more experience than I have.

    You can do "Either" or. Pick whichever your Best at since BOTH ways can cause damage if done improperly.

    I prefer to Pop babies as its far less invasive, And even pop adult's but sometimes the guys are reeeeealy good at hiding there junk! And I will probe if the person ask's

    I'm just being taught how to probe.

    I have a hard time popping adults, but no problem with popping babies.

    If you can, try to find someone close to show you. I had a breeder friend pop my first clutch for me, and he showed me how. Be prepared to get dirty though!!

    You can try any method you like as long as it works for you , but in my experience i rather the probing more than popping.
