Ambient temps sound fine. As long as the room you are in is above 76 and your also using a UTH on one side of the tub you will be just fine. Taping the UTH to the tub is unnecessary IMO especially if you want to use it on your next size tub. If anything tape it lightly to whatever surface your going to be keeping the tub on and just rest the tub ontop of it.
