    You could. I do keep mite spray around. I have never pulled the trigger on the mite spray once. Wood mites are not that big a deal. They aren't like snake mites. The spray would kill them off though. When my wife bought her first Ball python we bought some aspen bedding from Petsmart and it was terribly over run with mites. They gave us our money back and we have been using organic cypress since.
