*sigh* So I offered F/T mice to my two females last night, with no luck. I have three females and three males left of my babies, of which one female and one male have eaten F/T twice without any problems. The others' last meal was on May 14 and they're only about two months old now.

It was eight days since my last feeding effort, and I had only disturbed them with changing water and the paper towels on the bottom of their enclosures. The other female also got a new humid hide in the middle of the feeding break, but apart from that I haven't disturbed them in any way. The humidity is around 60-65%, the temps about 80-98F. They have hides on the cool and warm side and they've used both. Now their reaction to the mouse was that they started following it (I did the mouse dance) but they didn't strike. So at least they weren't afraid of it. Could it be the mouse wasn't the right temperature? It was warm, but I'm not sure of the exact temperature. I tried both young adults and fuzzies but neither worked. I left the fuzzy in one of the enclosures for the night, but no luck.

These girls have eaten live mice with the breeder, and I've tried to give them F/T three times now. I'm thinking I'll try P/K next time, because it would be important that they eat something. What do you think? Getting the live mice (which I'll prekill) won't be easy, as pet stores in Finland don't sell live mice for feeding (against the law), and mice breeders only sell (I presume) mice that have reached maturity. It's not a way I'd like to go, but...

BTW I'm going to give the two other males F/T tonight, didn't try with them yesterday. See if they'd eat...

    They didn't eat

I feed P/K exclusively and both my snakes hit it full speed. I just knock the back of their necks against my wrist and it kills them instantly. I feed Jojo small rats and Coconut is eating small mice.
    Thanks,

I've tried to offet f/t to my bp, as well as my friend's bp. I notice that feeding has MUCH to do with how you offer the rodent to the snake. Sometimes hanging the rodent in the air, swinging it around, etc, will scare the snake and they WILL NOT eat it.

I've had the most luck with simply placing the rodent on the floor near the snake. Just wiggle it with some tongs so they notice some movement, they will have already smelled it, trust me. Any movements you make the mouse do should be AWAY from the snake. You'll see the snake start to track it, and if you keep it up with small subtle movements, or maybe even none at all, you will have success. The key is not to scare the snake.
