I'm going to throw my experience with Peter Kahl out there and you can judge whether or not you want to do business with him.
Back in 2011, I purchased a female candy ball python from Peter. This was prior to the albino compatibility being publicly revealed by Garrick DeMeyer. Through evidence obtained by the BLBC community, it was discovered that Peter Kahl knew about this compatibility prior to my purchase. He withheld that information from me when he gladly accepted my money, knowing that once that information was public, it would have a drastic affect on the value of the project.
Funny enough, after my purchase and prior to the public unveiling of the albino compatibility, I heard a rumor that the candy gene was compatible with the lavender albino gene. I emailed Peter about that and he replied back strongly emphasizing the fact that they weren't compatible, that he knew someone who did it and got double hets, and he even went so far as to sending me comparison pictures of a lav and a candy. Not a peep about the albino compatibility he knew full well about though.
I contacted Peter after the information was revealed hoping for an explanation at the very least and some sort of compensation due to him withholding that information at best. It took me weeks, if not months (I can't recall the exact length of time) to get Pete to simply send me a guarantee that my female was a pure candy and not a candino. The best I got was a scanned copy of my invoice with a guarantee written on that.
So, essentially, at least back in 2011-2012, Peter Kahl was okay with taking money from people for high end projects he knew had issues that might concern potential buyers and he withheld sharing those issues.
As far as his animals go, I purchased a pied and the above mentioned candy from him near the same period of time. Both animals arrived in perfect condition and have been healthy. The pied is a poor eater, as pieds are prone to be, but the candy has given me clutches two years in a row.
