    Rats per 120L tub

Hi guys just wondering if I can get your advice on the amount of rats that can live happily in 120L tubs. Here are the dimensions
    Size: 79cm (W) x 50cm (D) x 43 cm (H)

they are for the rats to live in. And for breeding I'll move the mums into smaller 60L tubs to give birth.

I've gotten mixed answers from people some saying 5 per tub, some saying 6 rats. Some saying 8 females OR 5 males. But I want advice from other people too because frankly I don't know who to trust
id be using kiln dried pine shaving OR agrisorb hemp bedding as the substrate. Feeding via hoppers and probably have a few things for them to climb on etc

    thanks in advance !

I have a tub that size and I'd say 8 females or 5 males is pretty spot on.
I had 6 females in there and one growing litter and they seemed to be pretty comfy. I also have the hardware cloth on the sides for increased airflow and so they can climb.
