My happy news just took a turn for the worse the super pewter is deformed (severe twist in the neck and missing a part of the upper jaw/nose area). I know this is a risk you take when breeding but it never makes it any easier.

Oh my goodness I am so very sorry. Sometimes things like that just happen:-( I wish there was something I could say to help. Are the other babies okay?

Re: Black Pewter x Pewter results

Unfortunately the super pewter will have to be put down. Trying to research the most humane way to do that. The pastel 8 ball is kinked as well as one of the silver streaks. We are going to attempt to feed them to see how they do before we decide to cull or not. The silver streak looks to have the best chance at this time as the kink is near the vent which may or may not cause defecation issues. The pastel 8 ball has several kinks in the spine and also down near the vent. Unfortunately this is a part of breeding that we all never wish on anyone.
