A lot of times just having a single lock will trigger a female to pack on weight. I have done it many times in the past and it has always worked. I had one female who would not go past 800 grams and was 4 years old so I tossed a male in and they locked. The next year she was almost 2k and gave me perfect eggs. I have also had them produce from that lock and they were perfect eggs and the females exploded in size after that.
