In single gene BEL complex bred to another single gene BEL complex, you have a 25% shot at a BEL.
In your second example (BEL gene + another gene x single gene BEL gene), you still have a 25% shot at a BEL. It's just that 1/2 of those BELs have a chance at carrying the other gene as well.
