Yep!!
It's really a big part of the snake keeping experience. I have 3 different species, a royal, a boa constrictor and carpet python. The royal is typical and rarely moves about. I've had 6 month hunger strikes followed by another 4 months with the royal. Unfortunately I tried a live feed to "kick start" her and now that's all she takes, but on a positive note I'm almost always guaranteed a feeding and luckily up to now it's been flawless.

People who don't find the eating experience of snakes fascinating are missing a big part of the picture. These animals are designed by nature to be unseen, solitary and stealth. They are not social, and some can sit motionless for weeks waiting for food.

Being able to witness feeding whether it be live, F/T'd or fresh kill is something very interesting and special. While I personally don't enjoy seeing anything suffer, I certainly DO get excited/fascinated and whatever else to see the pet in my care eat successfully.

So if you feel excited,,,, I share that same feeling!
