I guess to each his own, but I never did soak mine like that. I always just misted the enclosure down more often when they are going to shed...anyway nice looking snake you have there
He's in one of those plastic critter cages 10 gallons. I usually don't mist my other Herps too. Oh I should mention I'm in south east Asia so the humidity is pretty much in the 55-60 the year round.
Thanks. I only soak this guy, he's been having minor incomplete sheds the past two times. So trying out the soaking method

Soaking is probably to blame for some of this, Soaking doesn't help with getting 1 piece sheds, nearly as well as Just give him 1-2 mist's a day.
My room humidty is 55-65 depending on the day in Summer here. And on coco husk they all shed 1 piece, dampening it before shed. My smaller guys who are on paper till 600+grams, Get misted one time at night and have all had perfect sheds.
My understanding is that during the shed process there are two layers of skin,
in between them is a layer of oil, by soaking him your removing the oils causing dry or stuck sheds.
My thoughts would be to raise the humidity to seventy percent and stop soaking him.
