since you're asking in terms of breeding as a hobby, i suggest get few or even just one of the best you can afford instead of more number of lower quality females for the same amount of money. breeding one or few great clutches is more satisfying than producing a ton of average snakes. and breeding just a few carefully selected snakes gives a better chance of producing more keepers, thus sparing the hobbyist from having to sell off too many unwanted hatchlings.
