I agree with most of the responses. I would think that it's a 150 dollar snake at the MOST unless there are pictures of the parents or strong evidence to prove the clown like breeder records. In my mind the price of a snake like that should have some other variables on top of what's already been mentioned. Who is selling the snake and who is buying the snake. I have seen this a lot lately and it upsets me when I encounter it. Some one will pay 200 dollars for a good snake from a breeder, they purchase knowing the snakes quality and value is backed by a good breeder. Then they try to sell the snake... at this point I think is SHOULD be at a depreciated cost. Now the buyer is assuming a great deal more risk purchasing second hand without any pictures of parents or proof of the het. Lets say I paid 180 for that snake, in the event that I had to sell it (which I wouldn't) I would only ask 125 but would take 90-100 probably.

Probably, but you could potentially produce some pastel clowns if you bred him to a het clown female. You can sell a pastel clown for over $1000. I would pay $300-$400, but you can find them for under $300.

I do have proof of genetics from a reputable breeder. He has pictures of the snake to compare with pics that i have. Its not a risk in this case.

Then if there was that proof you have I would pay about 200 give or take and would consider myself as lucky. The clown is awesome and like mentioned a popular one. Just too many hets without documentation to back it.
