I've got a super pastel and a butter with kinked tails, and a bumblebee 50% het ghost and pastel butter with no defects. The fifth baby is still alive in the egg, but looks very deformed. Hopefully the next clutch goes a little smoother.

If you have reached max gestation, I would pull it. If it is seriously deformed it should be humanely euthanized and not left to suffer. Keep us updated.

Just had to euthanize the last baby. It was a very deformed/twisted pastel butter. Not a good feeling when you work so hard to bring something into this world and have to take it out so soon. On the bright side, I learned a lot from this cluch, and will be able to apply it to future clutches. Thanks for the help everybody!

It definitely is not a good feeling but it happens to all of us. Hang in there the next one will be better.

Here's the 4 of them. Super pastel and butter with kinked tails, and a pastel butter and bumblebee 50% het ghost. The bumblebee surprised me, as she only locked with the spider once in October.

Your hatchlings are nice looking. So sorry you had the troubles. It must have been hard to euthanize the one. But, as you said, I bet you've learned a lot from this.
