She has almost no blushing. Those are "flames" you're refering to.

Re: Reallyyyyyy nice normal
I'll have to post pics later today of a petco normal. This thing was awesome! Very high white sides like I've never seen. It was very clean looking, I almost bought it I liked it so much. But 80 for a normal with little use at this time I couldn't justify... maybe..

Re: Reallyyyyyy nice normal
Sho220, so you are saying that the lighter colored scales in the pattern are called "flames"? If so would the whole battern be called the blushing? I am assuing that in the dark areas without pattern like on the spine, if there were lighted areas in that space it would be called blushing? Also I am assuming the snake that I posted a picture of is good quality due to the amount of white in the sides, is that the case? The previous snake would be a pretty one because of the nice flames in the pattern? Learning the lingo....

Yep. The light areas in the middle of the darkest part are blushing. Like above (the largest example is the middle of the picture. Sorry, I don't have access to photo software right now to edit).

Generally, it is easy to remember if you think of flames as things that go upward, just like the flames in a fire (the burn-y thing, not the BP morph). They are the light areas that reach from the belly upwards. And blushing is on top, just like when a person blushes it is on top (in their face anyway). They are lighter areas in the section of the pattern on the top of the snake that "should" be dark.
A snake with a lot of flames & blushing will often have them merge together so you can't really tell where the flames end and the blushing begins.
As has been pointed out, the snake in the first post of this thread has a fair amount of flames, but very little blushing. At the bottom of the second pic, you can see one of those flames & blushing runs together areas, but it's a pretty subtle one and there is hardly any blushing at all other than that spot.
If I had that snake and wanted to use her for breeding, I'd pair her with a yellow belly (or ivory), and hope to get some YBs with super nice flames.

Well, I think she's a nice looking girl... I like that yellow along the edges of her belly. Her flames are yellowish too. Pretty colorful. A lot of normals are fairly dull looking in comparison.

Nice looking. Nothing wrong with normals. My 2 favorite snakes in my collection are normals.
