Question feeding adult male and hatchling female
I have a few questions about the best feeding of my two snakes. Loki, my adult male, is currently on a small rat every week. Loki just passed the 1,000 grams mark on his last weigh in. My question is about 24 hours or so after eating he's back at the glass begging for food. I tried once ave he happily ate a second rat then settled down but wad hungry by feeding day the next week. Should I offer him two or keep it to one? He seems like he's in a growth spurt or something.
On my baby female, she is 81 grams and was born May 11. She had three meals at the breeder's (a fuzzy mouse two times and 'with some coaxing' a pinkie rat the last feeding). The breeder was feeding her every 5-7 days. I got her on the way back from a show in another state so I know she had to be crazy stressed. I got her settled in and offered her a fuzzy rat on Tuesday because the pinkies didn't move enough for her attention. She showed some initial interest then ignored it the rest of the night. I have left her completely alone since then. Going to try again tonight with a fuzzy mouse and see if I can get her eating good before I try the switch over. My question is one fuzzy mouse or two and since she's so little is every 4 days too much or about right?

What is the size of the rat you are feeding your male?
As for your female pinkie rats and fuzzy mice are inappropriate when it comes to size, an hatchling out of the egg can take a hopper mouse or a rat crawler, so if you chose to feed mice I would suggest to feed a hopper and not a fuzzy.
Feeding as a lot to do with security and proper husbandry how big is the enclosure for you 81 grams female? What are your temps? How tight are your hides? etc

The male is on small rats.
I will get a hopper when I go to get one tonight. She is currently in a 10 gallon tank. Her hide is tight enough that she can squeeze into it in a ball. I am going to get some plastic plant sausers tonight. Also, her temps are 91 on the hot spot and about 82-83 on the cool side.

Too late to edit but I should mention there is paper covering all four walls on the 10 gallon.
Also she just took the hopper and is working it down now! Very happy to see her eating. How often should I feed her since she's somewhat on the lower side?

You can feed her every 5 days and now that she has taken her first meal for you, you can offer a small adult / adult mouse.
