being the worry wart that i am, i am soaking a piece of wood in boiling water. the wood has been in rexs tank for a while, and rex has no ticks, or mites, but seeing as how ive been reading all these posts about ticks/mites, i decided to be safe. i checked rex and theres no signs of ticks/mites. big relief. kinda nervous for a min. i got a couple of pics of rex, my girlfriends gonna scan them for me, so hopefully monday i can get some pics on here.

so how is eveyones snakes doing?

Well if I had a snake I'd be saying that he is fine.

Doing well - had 2 non-eaters 2 weeks in a row (Benny - BP and Nevos - CalKing).

Discovered frozen rats teed more temperate thawing than mice to avoid them exploding a wad of guts on constriction (nastayh!).

Abandoned wood deco/hides alltogether across the board - just way too porous - bought a ton of really cheap plastic planters for hides as replacements.

Gave all the bigger pythons a nice soak'n'swim - haven't had so much p00 in the tub since the boys were much younger - but at least the snakes don't pee all around the toilets. Assigned kids toilet duty hahahahaha - just desserts.

Tried to trade in a Gibson acoustic/electric for an Alvarez, was insulted by the $90 offer on the trade in.

Kind of wandered off the snake topic didn't I hehe.

Another fine reason to appreciate having girls. Thanks for the reminder, Smulkin. Everyone around here is fine, and we have a new temporary resident, a green anole who is happy to eat the mealworms shunned by the crested geckos.

Bet your azz I walked - barely resisting the urge to grab the guys goatee and slam him into the Zildjian rack. It's immaculate - sent to me by mistake (instead of the cheap Epiphone SG my son wanted a couple xmas's ago) - it just has a brighter tone than I prefer when not amp'd, so I usually wind up playing the Montana.
