Heat tape getting too hot!!!

Herpstats can be recalibrated from what I am told, but I don't know how.

Also where are you putting your probe? It should be in the tank over the heat tape(the glass separating the two). The tape needs to heat that spot to the temp you pick so the tape itself is gonna be hotter then the reading from in the tank.

I was told to never put the probe in bins... Its outside the bin on the heat tape
