But there's time...he's still little and plans to breed are a couple of years away while I slowly assemble everything needed.

Is he pos het pied, because 35$ for 100% het is really cheap!

Honestly, I think it would be more awesome to hatch out a pied from two parents that are visually normal snakes...and that was always my plan. I didn't go to the show thinking if find a pied. I went for a het pied. And I found one for a good price but it just so happened this girl was also at a great price and exactly what I wanted to see! And in case anyone is wondering, so far she seems very healthy with no issues that I can tell. Of course she's still in qt for a couple months.. So fingers crossed. And she's a great eater too!
I am going to sell the male pastel het pied. He isn't up to par for me...if anyone's interested, holler!

I know, right? No, I was told he was 100% het pied. It was Sunday at the show and there were deals to be had. I also picked up a spider female for only $40, not from the same vendor. Charlotte came with a burn spot that's well healed and she most definitely has the wobble big time. She'd previously been in the care of a teenage boy who tired of her and his dad decided to sell. It felt good to bring her home and settle her in a safe healthy space. She's an amazing eater.

Wow, I think I got a little sidetracked. LOL!

I can definitely understand the excitement in that method and it's probably the route I'll be taking due to economics. While I was at the show, I met a breeder with a gorgeous adult female pied that was not for sale. Besides breeding, she is part of his presentations he gives on snakes at elementary schools. I can see why too...she is so docile and easy to handle. She's perfect...so yeah, I want a big girl like her pretty bad!

Congratulations on your very lucky find, glad to hear she's eating well. You've got to love a python with a good appetite.

That's a dream deal as everyone has said. But I'd keep the pastel. As far as 1 gene I love them and spiders. Do you have their permanant homes set up yet? I just paid 50 bucks for a large dresser that's properly set up to house 2 snakes that I'm pretty proud of lol between that and 60 bucks for an "aggressive" 4 month old male pastel I think I did alright too. P.s. He's not aggressive imo
