Ya that sounds off to me. I really doubt it could still be 99% humidity! Is it a digital hygrometer? (If not, that could be the issue right there).
Also, are there vents in your vive? This may sound like a silly question but I recently pick up a used PVC enclosure from someone who used it to house a boa... and there were NO VENTS. He said "the slits around the acrylic doors and sides were enough to let clean air in"... as in, the slits that can barely fit thermometer wires through. Uh huh. Poor boa!

It's a dig accurite and my tank is an animal plastics T-8 so yes there's vents.
