Anybody here working with the Paint gene? (Or the Nazca, Sentinel, Speckled)

If so, are you well versed in picking them out? I have a dual sired clutch (12 eggs) from a Chocolate female. I thought the fire would be the sire of the clutch, as the paint yellowbelly I have only locked once, months before ovy. Then the fire locked multiple times with her. I was hoping for hot chocolates (I got a male hot chocolate at least), but I have YB and YB chocolates. Some are probable paint YB chocolates, too.

I got a clutch last year from a Yellowbelly female that I've traced back to also being Nazca. I'm about 99% sure all these are Nazca as well...

What do you see in the spider that says Nazca is in it? And the first Lesser YB Nazca, what are you seeing in it to call it Nazca?

I've hatched a decent number of Spider clutches and I noticed these looked a bit different right off the bat. The white speckles on the sides seem to come up more than any other Spiders I've hatched. I usually get nice medium to high white Spiders, but the white on her is coming up more than I normally see. The color looks a little off as well. And the weird patterning on the side of her neck looks different as well. As for the first Lesser YB Nazca there, he has a bit of the patterning on his sides that look like Nazca's. The dot behind his head is also supposed to be a Nazca marker as well.

Jon is the Nazca expert so he may be able to explain better than I can. It's a fairly subtle gene, so experience hatching them out I'm sure makes it easier to see...

I plan on putting the male YB Nazca back to mom this season in hopes of getting a Super.

Thanks! And he keeps getting better and better. From what I understand the Nazca is a kind of highlighter gene, so the colors keep getting brighter and brighter...

I've outlined the areas on this girl that have me thinking Nazca...it's subtle, but different...the smudgy marks on the neck, the spots are smeared and the white goes up higher and is more random that what I normally see with my Spiders...and their overall pattern is more busy...





here's a pic of a normal Spider from another clutch (on left) and what I'm suspecting is a Nazca Spider on the right...(I hatched out two other suspected Nazca Spiders that I've since sold)...this is one of them. The normal Spider on the left hatched out about a week earlier but there was still a noticeable difference...



The following two pics show all three suspected Nazca Spiders that were hatched in the same clutch...the one I kept is on the far right...





This is what my Spiders typically look like...nice and clean with little to no alien heads or other markings...



If there are any Paint/Sentinel/Speckle/Neo experts out there, I'd love some more feedback...
