Fair enough. When that Indian Rock Python killed those two kids in New Brunswick, I was assisting with the petitioning and opposition to the review of Ontario legislation in regards to making ALL "exotic," pets to need permits and licensing. It was a huge issue in the province and within 2 weeks everyone forgot about it, including the politicians. I can't speak for America, Although I have donated to USARK on behalf of ball-pythons.net, when you guys were fighting the last big fight. I tried to explain to them the difference between Rock Pythons and BCIs and all I got was, "well, snakes shouldn't be pets - it's cruel and they kill people." I have a hard time convincing people that ball pythons won't kill them...
It's hard to combat wilful ignorance, and despite my attempts to educate people, they just ignore everything I have to say.
