How do u know when a RTB is going in shed??

Same process - dull colors, pink belly, gray eyes, etc. Mine will also stay in their hides while blue, even my seven foot girl.

The only real difference between them and my BP's is that all of my boas will eat while in shed, while my BP's mainly do not.

Yup. This. I've noticed my boas become reclusive when they go in shed. And they start looking very wrinkly too.
