    Do you bleach heat tape and hides from a on line pet store / breeder?

    Hello I just a bunch of heat tape and hides i bleached the hides because i do not know who or what has come in contact with them. Do you guys bleach clean or do any thing to your heat tape?

    Why would you bleach heat tape? It doesn't even come in contact with the snake.

    If I purchase something like a rack that was previously used then before it comes into the house I wipe it down with Chlorox (or generic) wipes, allow it to dry, hit it with F10, and allow it to dry, before moving it into the house.

    Smaller items like tubs, water bowls, and plastic hides go into the dishwasher. Larger tubs get the same treatment as racks.

    I bleeched the heat tape I dont know who or what has been in contact with the heat tape. Can germs move about? yes they can so i just went with better safe then sorry!
