Rack system substrate
I have a rack ordered being built now. It will soon be here and was curious how many people use a substrate with their racks. I currently use packaging paper it's very absorbent easy to change. My question is what do you all use and why do you feel like its the best product for you and your ball.

I use different things, cypress mulch, aspen, newspaper.....it depends on the animal and the time of the year.
Females about to lay I like using cypress mulch.
Hatchlings I like to use aspen

Spring and fall when the HVAC isn't running I just use paper. Summer and winter when the air in the house is very dry I cover the front quarter of the tub in cypress mulch and keep it damp, but not sopping wet, for humidity. The back of the tub I just continue to use newspaper over the heat.

Re: Rack system substrate
I like using paper towels because it's soft and my snakes like to make their own little hides out of them
