A thermostat is a must for regulating the heat pad! Even a cheap Hydrofarm thermostat is better than nothing: http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-MTPR...arm+thermostat

Walmart has inexpensive digital Acurite thermometer/hygrometers for only about $12. They are much more accurate than the stick-on dial ones.

I would invest in thermostats for your reptiles before you end up with a burn.
I guess I didn't think much of it because she very rarely spends any time of the heating pad, always soaking in her water bowl....

Okay, let me educate you a little more here.
The thermometer and hydrometer you have are junk and doing you no good.
You need to get your husbandry fixed before you can rescue anything, until then you are only adding to the stress of the animal.
To properly use belly heat IT NEEDS TO BE REGULATED!!!!
Could be a good reason she is having problems in her enclosure?
You didn't "think" about it and I told you that belly burns don't heal that quick, care to wonder why?

This is TWO years after I got this girl from an idiot that thought all they had to do was add more substrate to lower the temperature. He never thought about the fact that a snake can burrow until this happened.

Switch to overheat heating OR get a thermostat to regulate the UTH and real thermometers to monitor it.

What might help you Check the temperature of your hot and cold side of the enclosure is an infrared thermometer. It will give you the surface temps. Hang in there and keep trying to give your snake the best husbandry. I would have been freaking out seeing all these things combined too, but I would have no idea how to treat most of these concerns and I am no Where near ready to rescue a bp. Good luck I hope the end result will be a healthy happy snake and snake family

Do you happen to breed quail or have someone with availability?

I would just hate to see the next post that your ball wont eat and we are thinking mice or rats instead of her being imprinted on a different source.
