I don't think she is gravid, she has only had contact with our male a few times and we don't let them alone so they have never locked.
We have only had our male about a week also.

Females can lay slugs (unfertilized eggs) too. I'm thinking that's what the "yellow rocks" were!

Also, you said you force feed.

    Eek.

Please elaborate. How often, of what, and WHY?
These snakes can go months - MONTHS - without eating. I know she's not in the best state, with having all those health concerns, but.... ahhhhhh. Force feeding is considered a very last resort from what I've seen, and more often used for hatchlings who won't start eating, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Anyone every seen a BP do this??!!

We initiated a force feed 2 weeks ago and she took it on her own from there.
She is afraid of live and f/t mice so it is our only option.
We believe this is because she probably can't see well if at all.
Our herp vet friend did a full force feed last night to see if she would do any better with her behavior, the mouse was abiut a foot down after the feed and she regurgitated it withing half an hour.

I don't think they were slugs because before we got her she hadn't eaten in nearly six months and she wasn't passing anything until a week ago. That's about enough time for the first mouse we fed to go through her system.

    WHY
This is a snake that has evidently eaten and has some size to it so why the hell would you or someone that considers themselves a vet even contemplate this??
How much weight loss has happened since the last time she ate?
How long ago was the belly burn??

FYI, they rely on more than just vision to feed.

Re: Anyone every seen a BP do this??!!

She's lost alot in the last couple months, almost half her body weight.
Force feed won't hurt her but it did let us know there is something going on other than her just being afraid of food.
I realize they don't rely on sight as much as smell.
Belly burn was about 6 weeks ago, she's healed up nicely since then.

They don't heal that quickly or it wasn't a burn.
Im not knocking you, just trying to figure out whats going on.
Doesn't look like a snake that lost half its weight, skin is too tight.

Re: Anyone every seen a BP do this??!!

Sorry that was supposed to say a quarter of her weight.
It wasn't a large or bad burn, or what looked like a burn, we must have caught it when it happened because it was a very small area.
