LOL....I'm not a potentate of anything, but I'll give this a shot...
A bp is called a "ringer" when some of the white from its belly "bleeds" up into the otherwise normal pattern on the sides. In very rare instances, it may make a complete "ring" around the body of the snake. I guess that's where the term "ringer" came from, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure what the significance of it is. Some people have hoped that it might be connected to the pied gene, but there's no evidence of that...nor is there any evidence that it is predictably genetic. I personally don't get excited about them...I think they are just normals with a slightly aberrant pattern.
