Hypo Pastel x Fire Spider

Hello!
I am very new to ball pythons and this forum. I got my first ball python about 5 months ago. She is a Hypo pastel. Here she is! (about ready to shed)



At first sight I fell in love with the Fire Bee. Now it is my understanding that this is a Fire, Pastel, and Spider and is one of 8 combinations possible. Recently I saw a Fire Spider for sale on BHBreptiles. Am I correct in saying that my Hypo Pastel x Fire Spider will produce a Fire Bee (a 1/8 chance anyways). But because of the Hypo all the children will be Het Ghost?

If I am correct in assuming all this then I would like to ask if this is an ok starting point for a new breeder. I am doing this for the love of it.

Also, what would be an ok price to pay for a fire spider? the one on BHB is $450.

Kingsnake.com and fauna are good places for numbers.. breed what you want to breed! Wobp has a great morph calculator.. and yes all would be het ghost

Fire spider male because if you get into any other projects in the future you will be very happy to have that male on hand ready to breed

The current clutch does not matter, but your future clutches with the offspring might, for example...

with your current pairing, you can hope to produces a male fire bee het hypo, which could easily breed back to mom in under a year, giving you the ability to produce quite a bit in a year:

If you go the other way, say a Bumblebee x Fire Hypo hit the same male fire bee, but now you have a Fire Hypo to breed to him, which is a whole different list of combinations:

25% of which are Black Eye Lucy, which may or may not show any of the other traits.

Taking the rest of your collection, breeding plans, and goals into it, it creates many variables. Just have to figure out where you want to try and place your odds.
