My new girl won't eat >.<

I have 4 other ball pythons that have no problem feeding I've had them all through mice then rats and now frozen rats but this new girl I got refuses anything I try to give her. For the last two months I've tried live mice, frozen mice, and frozen rats. Her breeder said she was fed live mice and sometimes rats. She was a little under 700 grams when I got her but I'm just starting to monitor her weight, I haven't been worried because I've heard of ball pythons going off feed so I'm guessing she's stressed I just wanted some more opinions because I've never been through this with my other bp's, any help is appreciated

Well if its 100% a she, that could be signes of a early "feeding strike" mine usually hit around 900-1100 and go off feed for 2-3 months.

-Has she eaten for you at all?
    - If FT do you take out immidatly? If so try leaving in over night
    - Call seller and ask for a pick of what her setup is like there (if you didnt see) and try to replicate it.
-If all else false, he may possibly exchange animal

I have her in a 42 qt like the rest of my bps that are yearlings, i have one hide that accommodates her size well and a big water bowl, and then i just use newspaper for substrate and switch it out every couple days or sooner if it's really dirty. And she shed the day after i got her and she's going into shed now is that a healthy sign? And I'm going to contact the breeder tomorrow morning And find out, but i have a feeling she's very picky because the breeder said she'd only eat rats occasionally stop maybe she refuses a lot

Yea some are picky eaters. Shedding means she is growing. Ask the breeder about how he fed her

Well i have a feeling she might've always been a picky feeder and if they always fed her mice maybe she didn't gain weight as fast but she was hatched in 2012 I'm not sure exactly when, but she pays no attention to anything, I've left live mice in her tub for about 20 at a time And she has no interest in them, does that sound like a feeding strike? Im going to ask the breeder when the last time she ate was

And no she hasnt eaten at all in the last two months

And i didn't see what her set up was like either but thanks for all the advice I'm going to contact the seller for more information about her, by the way she's already shed once and she's going into shed again now that's a good sign right?

i have 1 like that. refusing food despite ideal husbandry. they come around eventually. try not offering food for two weeks at a time. it did not work the first few tries, but eventually it ate, and is continuing to eat regularly for the past few feedings (fingers crossed).

Thanks I'll give it a try, what size would you recommend if she's almost 700 grams?

Thanks I've been trying every week now but I'll be patient I just wanted to make sure this was some what normal behavior it's my first experience with a picky feeder, good luck with yours hopefully it stays that way
