    Feed during shed?

So my little guy's eyes are blue and cloudy finally! I noticed it starting to film over last night and this morning they were completely cloudy. Today is his scheduled feeding day though so do I hold off until after his shed or go buy a mouse and feed like normal?

You can go ahead and try to feed but they will sometimes refuse when they're in the process of shedding. It won't hurt to wait til next week either

Thanks. I'll probably wait till after his shed because I don't really want a random mouse I have to keep alive for a week hah. I tried that when he refused his 2nd mouse last feeding and my daughter ended up killing it (she sprayed bug spray into the cage when I wasn't looking because she didn't want the bugs to bother it...)

You don't have to wait, I'd offer and see if he feeds during shed. Some have no problem feeding while in shed and some will not. Only one way to find out what your guy will do.

I offer my snakes food every week in shed or not. A lot of the time they will eat, sometimes they don't. My big brb usually eats no matter what, but she refused yesterday and is in shed. It will be hit and miss, but they will usually eat regularly.

    Re: Feed during shed?

My pied always eats during shed. His eyes were blue on Saturday and Monday morning I fed him, later that night he shed.
