Loss of coloration after shed?

My female normal bp just shed last night, and when I looked at her this morning I noticed an oddly shaped white patch on her head that definitely wasn't there before. My first thought was that she was moldy, but on closer inspection it seemed as though the scales, while perfectly formed, had no coloration. It's definitely not skin left from a stuck shed, because I know what that looks like. It's just as though those scales have lost color.


After doing some research, I saw one person who had posted that this had happened to one of theirs, and it eventually regained color. (http://iherp.com/Answers/ReptileProblem.aspx?Id=16221)


Any ideas?

I had this happen with my normal . the color eventually came back , my thoughts of why this happened was that when she shed, she shed a deeper shed by her head. (Say that 10 times fast)

Thanks! I was thinking something similar, but whatever it is, she doesn't seem hurt or sick in anyway. I'll just wait it out and see what happens.

I've had it on my Normal as well, and on the head.

I had thought that it came from rubbing his head extra hard on an object to get the shed started, or started correctly. Or that it may have been a problem area.

Very interesting. That seemed to the extreme, since that snake was having a complete shed of 2-3 layers of skin at one time.
