I bought a square piece of plastic lumber. 2 inches by 2 inches. Tge length was double the width of your tank opening (cut in half, one piece for the top, one piece for the bottom). Then using a table saw, I set the depth of the blade to aboit 1/4 inch (bottom rail) and made a cut about 1/2 in on the rail. Then made a few more passes to widen that track until it was wide enough for glass to fit slighty loose. Repeat steps for another track about 1/4 away from the first one. Now you have 2 tracks 1/4 deep. For the top rail, do it the same way but make the tracks an inch deep so you can slide doors up to remove them.
