So Things Aren't So Great

As you may have read in my wife's thread, I found my Dad in a bad way this past Saturday. Well, I got bad news from the doctor today. He's dying. Could be days, weeks are even months. Basically, he can't really swallow now. His kidney's are already shutting down. They say from there it is just a trickle down effects to other organs. My brother and I already put in a DNR should something happen. My brother is going to meet with the doctor and case worker tomorrow about putting him in hospice.

It sucks. My Mom passed just this January and now this. And I've got my first child due in July. A child that won't get to know either of my parents. It's hard to know what to feel sometimes.

Just please keeps us in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm very sorry. I was with my mom in the ICU at the hospital when she died. Hospice would have been preferable, but she deteriorated so fast there was no time to arrange for it.
