    salmanella fuzzies

I just found out that the fuzzies I have been feeding my snake have been recalled. They are infected with salmonella. Will this hurt my BP?

Have you fed them to your BP yet? I'd suggest you stop feeding them this brand and move to a new brand of fuzzies... I'd also suggest you monitor your Bps behavior from now until his/her's next feeding. Hope all works out well..

    Re: salmanella fuzzies

I fed him last Saturday. I just learned of the recall yesterday. He is due to eat again today. The recall sign at PetSmart said they wouldn't hurt the snake, they could make humans sick though. He's been acting fine.

He should be fine. Regardless they harbour bacteria once thawed that we'd get sick as dogs but the snakes will be fine. I'd just not feed him the rest or get anymore. Less bacteria the better. But like they said everything will be ok. I'd also try to find a rat breeder who will do deliveries. Much cheaper and I think better quality rats

Thanks. I've only had him a couple months so I'm new at this. Just really scared me when I found this out. I'd be heart broke if anything happened to him. Thanks so much. I'll check in to getting his food somewhere else.
