0.43 people every year from constrictor snakes? That seems really high for deaths, or really low for bites. Either way, good point. I think this all the time when people try to convince me snakes are dangerous.

I actually would love to see where you got the statistics from! Not in any sarcastic way, because I completely believe you. I would love to share the info, but personally I think it's a stronger point (at least coming from myself) when I can SHOW people the proof, such as where the numbers come from. Is there a link to the study/stats somewhere?

At first the whole dear god it will eat you and your child thing drove me nuts...the weird looks and what not. Then you talk about snakes worth more than their car / house and all of the sudden they seem interested

According to the enemy, 17 deaths since 1978 in 2013, so that breaks down to .48 deaths per year or I think it would be better worded as "doesn't even average 1 death every other year"
