    Feeding a Maternally Incubating Female Ball Python (video)

    Since publishing an article on maternally incubating eggs on my website, I have had a lot of people ask, “Do they eat during the course of incubation?”

    As you can see in the video below, yes they do eat! This is the second year in a row that this particular female has maternally incubated her eggs! Like last year, she had 8 eggs again and needless to say, but I am very excited about this clutch. They are about a month old at this point and are looking good!

    Do you find any problems with the eggs being disturbed during the strike at all?

    7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

    Good luck with your maternal clutch! Just hatched out perfectly healthy babies via maternal incubation. I saw mom looking at her baby as it was crawling out of the egg!

    Wow,that is great!I can't wait for a clutch,I'm probably only gonna have one,I want their babies for my kids!I have never seen a hatch in person that is so cool,goodluck
