How to put probe inside a Boaphile?
So I ordered 2 421D's from Boaphile.
I'll be using an RHP on the inside.
Jeff said to place the probe under the RHP, about half way to the floor.
How do you guys do this?
Is there a predrilled place to feed the probe through, or will it have to be done after?
How do you guys fix the probe down?
It's pretty important it doesn't get moved, so making sure it's done right the first time. lol

A drill and hot glue (if there isn't already a hole in the cage)

Hot Glue?
How does that hold up to humidity?
I guess it doesn't get hot enough to mess up the probe like on a Herpstat?
Never would have thought of hot glue.

Hot glue is basically plastic, so humidity has little to no effect on it.
I would only use low temp glue sticks/guns, and you shouldn't hot glue the probe itself, instead hot glue the where the cord meets the probe, like this:

Hot glue is great because it is secure enough that you don't have to worry about the probe moving, while it is still easy enough to remove if needed.

Re: How to put probe inside a Boaphile?
I hot glue the probe directly to the RHP casing so only about an inch of cord separates the probe and where it's fixed. Then 2 holes above to zip tie down the probe and the RHP cord. I used a cord grommet (http://t.homedepot.com/p/The-Hillman...1305/202242505) for the exit hole. Is it for a terrestrial or arboreal animal?

With hot glue, that won’t mess with the RHP casing if it ever needs to be removed?
Also, you say zip ties and 2 holes; did you have to make that yourself? Will that method still work if I want to stack the 2 cages I ordered?
What about Velcro, or would the adhesive be damaging to the cage and/or the RHP?
On the grommet, I am not sure I understand what it does?
These cages are for my ball python and Columbian BCI, they are both terrestrial.
