    Developing follicles!? :)))

My female is laying on her side, I'm guessing developing follicles, so when should I expect eggs? The male hasn't been with her in a few days. Should I throw him in her cage tonight or what?

There's no way to tell when she'll lay eggs until she ovulates. She looks like she's building. Just make sure your male is in there 1-2x a month and you're fine.

is there any chance you missed the ovy? asking because they also do that after ovulation.

but by the looks of her spine, i gess she's not yet gravid. the camera angle could also be playing tricks on me, because i'm seeing fat-thin-fat, it should be thin-fat-thin. lol. i can't determine which end is what.

put the male in with her, there's nothing to loose, unless he's busy with somebody else.......

I don't think I she's gravid yet, but she doesn't look lumpy either. She is a big snake in general so maybe that's why, but her laying on her side has my attention. She's like that again today, how long do they build follicles for? Maybe I'm imagining things?

Lol my male goes on and off with her and my other girl so he's not that busy ;P

Starting from scratch, I do not know how long the follicle building process takes, but from the time i see obvious signs like belly bulge and weird body positions, it did not take more than a month before the ovy. Then again, not all builds end in ovulations. Good luck to you. Let us know if you are successful.

By the way, i catch even young snakes lying on their side, and even males. But since you are pairing your snakes, it can be signs of building. Does she eat still? I noticed that a good indicator of success is increasing girth even without meals.

Thank you, you've been very helpful

She stopped eating when I introduced her to the male back in march, but I've seen so locks or anything. I'm going to offer her a rat tonight and see if she takes it. This past week is when she started acting really odd with laying on her sides and such. Hopefully she'll end up gravid lol
