Re: Normal red tail boa or no?
Also a 'true red tail' is rare, Most I've seen for sale are bci x bcc. But my local reptile shop did have a stunning pair of Surinam red tales!! Should of had them both.
Animals are getting bigger and smarter. One day they will rule this planet once again.

Re: Normal red tail boa or no?
can any help with mine? I know she's about two years old. Her belly is spotted black all over. Red on her tail isn't too bright but definitely noticeable. You can kind of tell the rainbow sheen to her skin(happens in light but my Ball pythons skin doesn't do that) thanks in advance

^ Side pattern isn't right IMO, I still say your first girl is a Colombian. Could she have CA influence? Possibly, but without knowing parents no way to say for sure.

Re: Normal red tail boa or no?
New to boas so not sure what CA stands for. I got her from LLL reptiles (which I know is a big website for ordering) but I live pretty close to their store in Oceanside Ca and that's where I picked her up. I've been trying to search cause the lacking of redness in her tail got me curious. I've seen a bunch of normal BCIs but none with speckled bellys and designs like hers.

^ Central American: ie, like Nics. Do you have a pic of her belly? And if it means anything I've seen plenty of regular Colombians without any red in their tails and with speckled bellies.
