I have been keeping corn snakes for 6-7 years and for the past year have been thinking about going to the next level, I was originally going to get a Carpet Python as I heard that they would be a great snake for someone progressing to the next level. They are tame, don't get massive and don't need to eat massive food items. The problem is I live in the UK and it is almost impossible to find a carpet python for sale and the ones that are available are not at a reasonable price, a guy was selling a normal carpet python for £2000 ($3386) So my dream kinda died. I have always liked Retics and then I found out that there are Dwarf/SD retics and my interest was sparked again. I hear that Dwarf retics are the same size as carpet pythons (around 10ft), are just as tame (if not tamer) and they are at good prices from reputable breeders. I have held big snakes before (burmese, boa etc...) but have never got around to progressing. A year later I now have the idea again and am wondering what to do? What you guys think about this.
