Always sitting by your side,
Always by your side...
That cat's something I can't explain...

the odds were not that good, but still, you hit lesser, and spider, and lesser spider. and they all look cute and healthy, and the thing with bad odds is that in the long run it always balances itself out.
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it. If you disagree, send me a PM.

Hope you get some knockouts for yourself! The mother for this pairing was a reduced Spider too!

I don't know if I'd say the odds were bad. It's a 1/4 thing so statistically speaking, with seven eggs, there could have been like two of each. But in the end it mostly just boils down to luck anyhow. Now 1/128 odds, that's what I'd call bad.
I can't wait to try out this pairing again in the future though, I didn't get the Lesser Bee I wanted but the Spider and the Lesser sibs on there own were very encouraging.

in the pairing, you would expect 1 morph gene on average per egg. so for 7 eggs, on average, if you count it up, counting a single-gene morph as a 1 and a double-gene morph as a 2, you would expect something around 7. you got 4. thats quite rare. 6 or 7 or 8 would be most common, followed by 5 or 9.
the exact opposite that is statistically equally rare, but with the luck going in the other direction, would be 10 morphs in the 7 eggs. meaning a result like: 3 lesser spiders, 2 lessers, 2 spiders, no normals. or maybe 4 lesser spiders, 3 spiders, 1 normal.
so the odd gods really havent been merciful to you. do repeat the pairing, the chances are really high that you will get better odds next time.
