Re: help!!
We have a family friendly rule - since everything has more than four letters I think it's safe to say that isn't what you typed.
Hopefully someone will be able to give you advice on the poorly rat soon.

Re: help!!
I hurt one of my females years ago when she was free roaming. She went behind my desk drawer and when I pulled it out I must've run over her leg. We went to the vet (she was a beloved pet) and the guy said she'd be fine... Eventually. The leg hung completely limp for a month or two and then boom one day she was fine again! Hope your little gal gets better!

If she's a senior, it's likely HED (Hind-End-Degeneration). It is genetic.

I have no idea what may have happened.
Perhaps a stroke? I've also heard that pituitary tumors can lead to paralysis. Rats are relatively prone to pituitary tumors.
Is there any improvement?
If she doesn't get better, you may want to consider euthanasia.

I've seen this happen once in my rat colony. Poor girl would drag her back end around like a champ. Euthanasia is the best route to take.

If she's only 4 months old, I would say an injury happened. Most other hind end paralysis comes with old age. If she's functional, and your pet, I would say she is likely not in pain (though you should give her a few good pokes to make sure) but i would keep her away from males, and clean her often, and she'll probably still live a happy life.
If this is one of your feeder breeders, and you do not have specific emotional attachment, then you should probably put her down, because she will require a little bit of special care for the rest of her life. But she will be fine to feed off.

no improvement she seems to be fine .. i really cant tell what in pain would like for a rat .. she is a breeder but i wouldn't keeping her as a pet . she will not be seeing any males .. i just feel bad putting her down .. if she was in horrible pain i would but like i said i don't know if she is .. she hasn't lost no weight .. when i do i hold her tho i notice her heart is racing really fast .. but that could be of being scared idk..
