Have you torn the bottom of your couch off. That is where I found my Corn snake when he got out. He actually made his way into the arm rest box.

I have laid down some rice and flower lines, I have his tank with heating pad on along with fresh water in the tank and a live mouse sitting on the floor, tin foil at base boards along with some plastic bags, the fridge stove dishwasher washing machine dryer and furnace are all off. cat is locked up for the night as well. just sitting quietly in the dark with a red light hand, oh and cigarettes and a monster lol

I would also say to confine your cat. If she's a rabblerouser who's already broken the lid, I would be hesitant to have her free-ranging while the snake is still free. They're opportunistic hunters, and it would be awful if your cat got to the snake before you did. If you can bear it, set her up in the bathroom/spare bedroom/any room you can close off with a litter pan and her food and water, so that way you can just focus on finding your snake. God luck!

Edit: I see that you did put the cat up overnight, so you're way ahead of me. I hope you find your little one!

no :-( I think I'm going to just say for now I have a pet mouse in a tank with and open top at nights and hope sometime soon I'll wake up to a snake lol most of the things I read about people finding their snakes again are a poof just when they last expected it. so I'll let him do what he does and hope he'll come back for a mouse soon, his last feeding was 7 days ago.

    Re: Help Snake loose !

tried staying the night in the basement last night and still no luck. hopefully he'll get hungrier soon to come out. I can't imagine where he is... My house and items in it are very minimalistic (I've been able to keep my possessions under 120 things for a few yeas now) so there isn't to many hiding places. but to my dismay I did see a large hole in my basement window last night. so now hoping he didn't go outside... the past few days have been nice and mid 80's, but not for much longer

Red face Re: Help Snake loose !

    FOUND HIM!
Sorry, I've been MIA on updating; but I've been down in the dumps and pulling odd hours lately. But he was just found today! LOL I was sitting on my kitchen counter talking to my neighbor and husband about Salazar oddly enough, and my husband looked passed me and says "I found the snake!". He was crawling out from behind the clock read part of the stove. NOT 5 FOOT FROM HIS TANK! after taking the stove so far apart I thought he'd never get it back together LOL
He surprisingly seems to be in good shape; he has now just ate his live mouse treat (I'm glade that mouse lived like a king the passed 10 days [with lots of fresh vegies and berries on top of mouse food] because Salazar eat him quick like.) and was gulping water for a good minute... The poor thing he was so thirsty.
Thank you so much to every one here
He was gone from April 30th to May 10 and you guys helped me never give up hope
