I would also say to confine your cat. If she's a rabblerouser who's already broken the lid, I would be hesitant to have her free-ranging while the snake is still free. They're opportunistic hunters, and it would be awful if your cat got to the snake before you did. If you can bear it, set her up in the bathroom/spare bedroom/any room you can close off with a litter pan and her food and water, so that way you can just focus on finding your snake. God luck!
Edit: I see that you did put the cat up overnight, so you're way ahead of me. I hope you find your little one!
