My first thought is "why?". Why would you want to go to the trouble of taking a snake to the vet, spending a bunch of money - presumably on tests, but I could be wrong - when you could otherwise keep it in quarantine for 3-6 months instead?

Otherwise I don't have a solid answer for you I just know that I wouldn't, because I don't want to go to all that trouble and expense personally.
