Is the humidity ok?
I have my young BP Lesser in a medium Exo-Terra with 2 hides, and one of them over the heat pad. The eco-terra has a mesh lid though, and i'm worried that there is no humidity in the tank whatsoever (I live in London so it isn't especially warm!). Do I need to look at misting or getting a humid hide?
The snake seems pretty happy at the moment…just thought I would ask

Do you have a hygrometer? The cage humidity needs to be between 40% - 60%.

I don't have one, is it absolutely necessary?

You should buy a digital one. They are very cheap on amazon for one that is accurate enough. I live in London too, and the ambient humidity in my house is actually nearly perfect, and the humidity in his viv is slightly higher.

Ah that is great to know George. Just bought one off Amazon, but if the ambient humidity is ok, that makes me feel better!
Where did you get your snake from out of interest? I am new to this but v interested in learning more and wondering where I can go in London to check things out

Yeah, the humidity in the London area is okay around this time of year. Right now it is about 60%. Good to hear, they are simple little devices, and can set your mind at ease
I got mine from my local reptile shop. It is a place in Staines, just outside of West London. They are called TC Reptiles. Unfortunately their website is very poor so it isn't the best to look online. They are a small family run business but perfect to get animals or supplies from. If you are in the west London area then give them a look. Crystal Palace reptiles is a very good place to check out. Just north of Croydon, they have produced a few morphs!

Nice. If you can drive then TC reptiles isnt a bad place to visit. They have some lovely animals in there. They recently got themselves a pair of caiman crocodiles! Very friendly staff and know what they are talking about too.

Though it is good to have a hyrgometer for a rough idea of humidity(more for min required humidity), ALL snakes are different. And youll this on his/her shed, My female pied, will do perfect sheds from lowest to highest humidty where my Lavender spider, needs min 75-80% to have a good shed, so shes my only girl on cocohusk, So use them as a guideline but do not hold all to them, Youll learn your snake after one or two sheds, and work from there!

Guys I bought a hygrometer and the humidity in the tank is hovering at only 39/40%. What can I do to increase this a bit? I have the water bowl filled as much as I can. The temperature is now at 26 (UK temp), is that ok?
