Ball Python Hasn't eaten since November?!?!
I've had my Ball Python for 2 years now and he has always been a great eater, are in the winter and always ate dead rats. All of the sudden in November 2013 he just stopped eating, he is 3 years old. He is still drinking water and very active at night. The temps are about 85 daytime and 76 during the night and the humidity is about 50%. I have not noticed weight loss really. Here is a picture and suggestions?

Fairly normal. As long as he maintains a healthy weight you should be fine. Keep on trying offering. You could also try ASF or live rodents but he may get hooked on them!

Yeup, relatively normal. I have one that hasn't eaten since October 2013. You could try bumping up the heat a couple degrees too. That may get him going. Either way, he'll come out of it. Keep offering like ridin said.

Re: Ball Python Hasn't eaten since November?!?!
My adult male went off food 10/8/13 and started eating again ten days ago.
Personally I wouldn't do the night drop and I would keep him warmer, at 78*F cool side and 90*F warm side all the time.

Yup, normal. Not all do it but a lot do. And how the little buggers knkw its breeding season in a stable artificial environment is kinda nuts.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

Perfectly normal. He's an adult male and it is breeding season. But, I agree with others, no need for the night drop. I don't even do it for my breeders anymore.

I wouldn't worry. Before he stopped eating did he happen to hit around 1000g? All 3 of mine were fantastic eaters until they hit that weight, regardless of age.

when they hit sexual maturity they will sometimes stop eating for a bit. Around 3 for males. Get a postal scale, log his weight. As long as his not losing a lot of weight he's ok.
