Rough scaled pythons finally available in the us!
http://marketplace.thereptilereport....rtisements/808
I just found this today and just thought, wow. My favorite snake is finally in the U.S.and not at a ridiculous price(imo)! I'm definitely getting one, or a pair when I save up a bit more. Anyone else think this is awesome?

Those are neat looking. I had never heard of them before. I'll have to wait until they go down in price quite a bit though before I'd be interested.

Yeah, I wonder how they got here?lol.

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. What with Australia's laws and all you'd think it'd be impossible to obtain one elsewhere. They do have the proper paperwork though, so it must be legal.

Yeah, it's completely beyond the realm of possibility that they could be from legal zoo stock.
Because that never happens.
Ever.
Right?

I actually thought it was impossible too for many years. I always thought that Australia was completely locked down. Then I heard Nick Mutton speak at my herp society about a year ago and found out that it's really not that uncommon to be able to import from Australia. There are still a lot of hoops to jump through, but it's certainly not impossible to get legally obtained herps from there anymore.

Think of them more as a chondro with keeled scales, I don't own any but have gotten to mess with a buddy's! They phenomenally cool species! But their head structure and body structure is more like a chondro then a carpet!!

From what I've read and seen(in videos and pictures) they are more chondro like in appearance, size, and lifestyle but more carpet like in personality and care.
