Thanks. After reading that thread I have a friend do QT for me since his wife doesn't care for snakes but will grudgingly let him have one at a time. So he gets the new arrivals for 90 days before they come to my place.

oh, thanks all, that makes sense. an RI virus can of course be airborne. i didnt know there are reptile viruses that are so contagious and have such a high mortality rate. the virus in the story Deborah linked reminds me of Ebola or the spanish flu.

somehow i only had mites on my radar when i posted. i still dont think mites can become airborne, unless you launch them or glue tiny wings to them. they cannot even make silk threads. tiny spiders can fly with a long silk thread if there is some wind. but mites really seem to be limited to crawling and falling, and their eggs are too heavy to fly like dust.

but that doesnt seem to matter when there are scary viruses like that out there.
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.

The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.
